Here is a nice story left by a guy named Bill in the comments about a simpler time in Korea when it was ok to pay for sex and the girls even had to be checked, to protect the troops. How things have changed!

I served in South Korea from Oct 68 to June 69 in the 2nd/32nd 7th infantry Division pulling guard on a missel site about 60 miles from Soule.(Joyu) Not sure of spelling. After arriving from a stint in Vietman with the 1st Air Cav I found Korea a wonderful place to serve. Had many Korean girlfriends and have no regrets. All the girls had to have monthly VD checks so picking up a disease was not easy to do as long as the girl had a updated card. Some of the most fun times in my life occurred there.
Almost 40 years ago!

ok well heres my addition to the good korea :) food. i love korean food. they got it right, i mean BBQ? come on thats a winner...nothing like some great bulgogi from Seoul Buffet...if you know the street in between burger king and geckos in itaewon, just walk down it about a half mile or so, it'll be on the left. all you can eat 9000 won. man they should be paying me for this...

I guess I will contribute something to the beautiful Korea section. Without Korea we never would have had MASH. What would the world ever have been like if we didn’t have Hawkeye, Trapper, Hot Lips Houlihan, Ferret Face, Colonel Potter, and everyone’s all time favorite Radar O’Reilly. Can’t forget the memorable theme song either.
